After school STEM: Homopolar Motor Swirly Sculptures.

 Come conduct an Electromagnetic Homopolar Motor Experiment after school on Wed. November 29 at 2pm.   It will be super fun for all ability levels. We will watch an informational video to learn about how the motors work, and then the kids will get to create their own to take home.  Using a neodymium magnet, an AA battery and a length of copper wire that they will be able to sculpt into different shapes that will sit on the battery and spin using the electromagnetic field created by the motor.  We will also go over safety precautions to take with these items.
