  • Applicant Liability And Indemnification:

    1. The Applicant shall indemnify, defend, and hold the Town and its officers, employees and agents harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, actions, causes of action, costs and expenses, including attorneys’ fees, arising out of the Applicant's use of the Facility, breach of this Agreement, or the negligence or misconduct of the Applicant, or the Applicant's guests, agents, employees or contractors.

    2. The Applicant shall be liable for and agrees to reimburse the Town for any loss or damage to the Facility, its contents and grounds caused by the Applicant or the Applicant’s guests, agents, employees or contractors.

    3. The Town assumes no responsibility or liability and expressly disclaims any liability or responsibility for any damage to or loss of personal property belonging to the Applicant, or the Applicant’s guests, agents, employees or contractors.

    The Town Hall Kitchen is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Those wishing to rent the Town Hall Kitchen must submit an application to the Town Hall Coordinator at least one week prior to the rental date requested. You can reach the Coordinator via email townhall@wendellmass.us. If the Town Hall and/or stage are used for eating or other purposes, additional Town Hall rental fees will apply and a Town Hall application and agreement form must be completed.

    Rental Guidelines:

    • Users must understand and follow the guidelines for use of the kitchen that have been established by the Kitchen Committee and must meet with the Kitchen Coordinator before using the kitchen.

    • The Facility is a smoke and vape free venue.

    • The kitchen must be left clean and sanitized, all equipment clean and sanitized and returned to its designated storage area. Floor washed, trash removed, food removed.

    • Although you may not be renting the Town Hall, it is understood you may need to use restrooms and travel within that space, so the Town Hall will not be rented at the same time. Because of this, it is agreed that the Town Hall must be left in the condition it was found in, no trash left behind, bathrooms and floor should be clean.

    Rental Fees:

    Wendell Residents

    Minimum charge (2 hours or less) $15

    Each additional hour $ 5

    Non-residents

    Minimum charge (2 hours or less) $30

    Each additional hour $10

    Fees are waived for:

    • Events sponsored by a Town Committee or Board that are open to the public

    • Memorials and Funerals

    • Discounts may be available if a non-resident user is sponsored by a Wendell resident

    You will be invoiced for the rental fee upon receipt of this application and approval by the Town Hall Kitchen Coordinator.

    Signature:

    The Town of Wendell, acting through its Selectboard, hereby enter into this agreement for the Applicant’s use of the Town Hall Kitchen located at 6 Center Street, Wendell, MA.
